Configuring the Machine for Scanning to the File Server
Before configuring the machine for scanning to file servers, check the setup flow shown below. There are Server Message Block (SMB) and File Transfer Protocol (FTP) available for file transmission. Set the necessary configuration for each protocol.

Make sure that the machine and the computer are correctly connected.

Make sure that you have the following information:
The IP address of the machine Viewing Network Settings
The name of the computer where the file server is located Viewing the Computer Name
Path to and the name of the file server (If access restrictions are set to the folder, the user name and password information is also needed)

Set the machine configuration.
|

Register the file server destinations in the Address Book.
