Clearing Paper Jam in the Main Unit and the Finisher
This section describes how to clear a paper jam which occurs in the main unit and the finisher (Staple Finisher-W PRO/Booklet Finisher-W PRO). The location of the Staple Finisher-W PRO/Booklet Finisher-W PRO is indicated in the following illustration.

IMPORTANT |
If the Document Insertion Unit-N is adjacently attached to the finisher, the part of the insertion unit may interfere with the finisher when clearing jams. Lift up the insertion unit before removing jams from the finisher. |
Follow the procedure described below, while referring to the location of the paper jam and the directions that appear on the touch panel display, to remove the jammed paper.
1.
Open the front cover of the finisher.
2.
Press the button (F-A1) as far as it can go.
This procedure is only required if the Puncher Unit-BS or Puncher Unit-BT is attached.
3.
Open the guide (F-A2).
4.
Pull the lead edge of the jammed paper into F-A2, and roll it slowly in the space made available by opening the F-A2 guide (as shown in the illustration).
5.
Remove the rolled paper.
6.
Close the guide (F-A2).

When closing the guide, be careful not to get your fingers caught, as this may result in personal injury. |
7.
Close the front cover of the finisher.

8.
Follow the instructions on the touch panel display.
NOTE |
The screen indicating the directions on how to clear the paper jam is displayed repeatedly until the paper jam is cleared. |
