Cautions When Printing in Color from a PostScript Application (PS3)
If you perform color printing from a PostScript application* using the PS3 driver, the data processing method changes depending on the combination of settings for [Device Settings] sheet > [PS Output from Application] and printing functions.
The print functions that affect the data processing method are indicated below.
Poster [N x N] / Origin at Center / Watermark / Edit and Preview / Layout Options / Print Banner Page / Rotate Pages for Layout / paper feed methods other than [Same Paper for All Pages] / Use CanoFine / [Distinguish between Color/B&W Pages at Host] / Print Color Sample
Configure the appropriate settings according to the goal of printing.
* An application such as Adobe Reader, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Illustrator, or Adobe Photoshop
[PS Output from Application] > [Auto]
When a print function that affects the data processing method is set
RGB color model is used.
When a print function that affects the data processing method is not set
Application generates PostScript code itself.
CMYK color model is normally used.
[PS Output from Application] > [On]
Print functions that affect the data processing method cannot be used.
[PS Output from Application] > [Off]
RGB color model is used.
NOTE The hues in the printed result when an RGB color model is used and those in the printed result when a CMYK color model is used may differ.
