<Auto Adjust Gradation>

It is recommended that you select <Full Adjust> when performing an automatic gradation adjustment. Select <Quick Adjust> for a quick, but less complete adjustment between regular full adjustment recalibrations.


Test pages are not counted as part of the copy or print total page counts. C3700 Series Only You can only set <Use Feeder When Performing Full Adjust> and <Use Feeder When Performing Adjustment> when the option is installed.

<Auto Correct Color Tone Settings> (C7700 Series / C5700 Series Only)

<Adjust Drum Temperature> (C7700 Series Only)

In a high-temperature or high-humidity environment, partial distortions, or thin white lines may appear on printed images.You can prevent this problem by adjusting the photoconductor drum temperature.

Be sure to contact your dealer or service representative before adjusting the photoconductor drum temperature. Increasing the drum temperature may cause the developer to deteriorate.

<Special Smoothing> (C7700 Series Only)

This setting smoothes jagged outlines of dark colour characters, lines, figures, photos, images, and gradations by correcting colour displacement that occurs in the output.

Make sure to set this setting to <Off> when you do not perform the correction. Depending on the types of originals, this function may cause other colour displacement or jagged outlines.

<Gradation Adjustment During Printing> (C7700 Series Only)

To maintain the stability of gradation, density, and colour, the machine performs the density adjustment internally during printing. The sensor detects the density of a patch, which is created on the Intermediate Transfer Belt every several sheets of paper is printed, to perform the density adjustment. You can increase the frequency of the density adjustment to maintain more stable image quality, if necessary.

Even if this function is displayed, do not allow anyone to change the settings except for the system manager. If you increase the frequency of the adjustment, image quality becomes more stable but the adjustment time may increase and the print speed may be adversely affected.
