Adjusting Print Quality

Adjust the settings below if printing results are not satisfactory.

Gradation Adjustment

If gradation reproducibility has become so poor that the printed gradation differs markedly from the print data, make adjustments to improve gradation reproducibility.

Density Correction

If the density of the printing is significantly different from the original document, this adjusts the scan density to be closer to the original.

Image Size Adjustment

If the size of the image copied is slightly different from the original, fine adjustment is performed so that the printed size more closely matches the size of the original.

Waterdrop Pattern Prevention Mode

You can set <Waterdrop Pattern Prevention Mode> for when a splattered image, white patches, streaks, etc. appear on the halftone images of two-sided print jobs.

Fogging Prevention Mode

If toner is lightly applied to an unprinted area (white area), fogging may occur. Fogging may be corrected if you set <Fogging Prevention Mode>.

Fixing Level Adjustment for Envelopes

When printing on envelopes, if their flaps are glued (which they should not be) or toner fixation is poor, you can adjust the fixing level.

Correct Fixing for Jobs with MP Tray (Heavy 4)

This mode improves the print result when the image is faint because insufficient toner is fixed to the paper.

Standard Density Adjustment

If the density of the printing is significantly different from the original document, this adjusts the overall density of the printed material to be closer to the original, including filled areas, text, lines, and intermediate densities. This setting should mainly be used to adjust the maximum density.
