Carrying Over Settings from the RDS Plug-in (HTTP)

If you were using the iW Management Console RDS Plug-in (HTTP), you can import a settings file exported from the RDS Plug-in to this software to carry over the following information of the RDS Plug-in.
Proxy settings
RDS ID
The following information of managed devices
Device ID
MAC addresses
IP addresses or host names
SNMP community name
NOTE
When a settings file exported from the RDS Plug-in (SMTP) is imported to this software, the following information is carried over.

Preparing the File to Import

Export a settings file from the iW Management Console RDS Plug-in.
NOTE
For more information, see the following.
iW Management Console RDS Plug-in instruction manual
1.
Log in to iW Management Console as the RDS Plug-in administrator.
2.
Select [e-Maintenance (HTTP)] > [Configuration (Service Representative Only)] > [Export (Service Representative Only)].
3.
Click [Export].
Follow the instructions on the screen to save the file.

Stopping the iW Management Console RDS Plug-in

Stop the iW Management Console RDS Plug-in after exporting the settings file.
IMPORTANT
Stop the iW Management Console RDS Plug-in before operating this software. If this software is operated with the RDS Plug-in running, duplicate data in RDS Plug-in and this software may be sent.
1.
Log in to iW Management Console as the RDS Plug-in administrator.
2.
Select [Configuration] > [Common Settings] > [System Configuration].
3.
In the [Optional Plug-in] list, click [Stop] for the RDS Plug-in.

Importing a Settings File

You can import RDS Plug-in settings to this software.
1.
Select the [System] menu > [Connection Settings].
2.
Click [Import].
3.
Follow the instructions on the screen to select the settings file.
4.
Click [Import].
