Configuring the Connection (SMTP)

This section describes the settings used by this software to communicate with the Remote Monitoring Server using SMTP.

Configuring the Connection

NOTE
You can import a settings file exported from the iW Management Console RDS Plug-in to this software to carry over the connection settings and device information of the RDS Plug-in. For more information, see the following.
1.
Select the [System] menu > [Connection Settings].

Configure the required settings on the [Connection Settings] page.
[E-Mail Settings]
In [Cc], enter one CC address per line.
In [RDS E-Mail Address], enter the sender address.
In [SMTP Server Address], enter the address of the SMTP server.
In [Port Number], enter the port number for communicating with the SMTP server.
To use encrypted communication when communicating with the SMTP server, select [Use SSL/TLS].
To use SMTP authentication for the SMTP server, select [Use SMTP authentication].
In [User Name], enter the name of the user to use for the SMTP authentication of the SMTP server.
In [Password], enter the password of the user to use for the SMTP authentication of the SMTP server.
In [E-Mail Split Size], select the size for dividing e-mail.
[Service Settings]
Enter the unique RDS ID used by the Remote Monitoring Server for identifying this software in [RDS ID].
If you are using this software in a region where your local service center uses 12 character device IDs, select [Pad short device IDs with leading zeroes].
IMPORTANT
If you are unsure whether your local service center uses 12 character device IDs, contact your local service center. If you specify the wrong setting, this software will be unable to send data to the Remote Monitoring Server.

Click [Send Test E-Mail] to perform a communication test with the specified settings.
If the communication test fails, the entered settings cannot be registered to this software. Check the entered settings, and perform the communication test again.

If the communication test is successful, click [Update].

Configuring the Sending Schedule

This section describes the procedure for configuring the schedule for sending e-mail from this software to the Remote Monitoring Server.
1.
Select the [System] menu > [Sending Schedule].
2.
On the [Sending Schedule] page, configure the required settings.
[Sending Schedule Settings]
In [Send Time], specify the send time.
In [Sending Interval], select the sending interval.
3.
Click [Update].

Checking the Sending History

This section describes the procedure for checking the history of sending e-mail from this software to the Remote Monitoring Server.
1.
Select the [System] menu > [Sending History].
2.
On the [Sending History] page, check the e-mail sending history.
