Paper Jams in the Main Unit

Check the paper jam location on the screen, and follow the procedure below to remove the paper.

Paper Jams at the 2-sided Guide (Right) (A1) and 2-sided Intermediate Guide (A2)

Paper jam locations are indicated by number such as A1 or A2, which are shown in the illustration below.
There is a hot part around the 2-sided guide (right) (A1) and 2-sided intermediate guide (A2). Be careful not to touch the guide when removing the paper.

Open the fixing station front cover in the order of left and right.

Open the A1 guide ().
According to the movement, the A2 guide () opens and the inversion guide goes down.

If paper is jammed, gently pull it out in the direction of the arrow.
If the front LED on the A2 guide is blinking and the back LED is lit, remove the jammed paper from the A2 guide.
The LEDs do not turn off when you remove the jammed paper. Visually check that there is no paper left.

Close the A1 guide ().

Close the A2 guide ().

Close the fixing station front cover in the order of right and left.
Continue following the instructions on the screen to proceed with the interrupted operation or continue clearing paper jams.

Paper Jams at the Toner-Unfixed-Paper Feeding Unit, Feeding Belt, and Paper Realignment Unit

If you pull out the toner-unfixed-paper feeding unit before clearing the paper jams on the 2-sided guide (right) (A1) and 2-sided intermediate guide (A2), you may not be able to remove the jammed paper. Make sure to check that there is no paper left before starting work.
The positions of each unit and area (A2), "C2 lever," "C3 guide," etc. in the procedure are as shown in the figure.

Open the front cover of the main station.

If paper is jammed on the left side of the toner-unfixed-paper feeding unit, gently pull it out in the direction of the arrow.

Check whether paper is jammed in the toner-unfixed-paper feeding unit.
Tilt the C2 lever to the left to release the lock.
Holding the C2 lever, pull the toner-unfixed-paper feeding unit out.

Check whether paper is jammed in the duplexing guide (C3).
Open the C3 guide.
If paper is jammed, gently pull it out in the direction of the arrow.
Close the C3 guide.

Check whether paper is jammed in the upper pre-realignment guide (C4).
Open the C4 guide.
If paper is jammed, gently pull it out in the direction of the arrow keeping the C4 guide open by hand.
When you release the C4 guide, it closes.

If paper is left on the feeding belt (C5), remove all the paper.

Store the toner-unfixed-paper feeding unit.
Gently push the toner-unfixed-paper feeding unit back into the machine holding the C2 lever.
When pushing in the toner-unfixed-paper feeding unit, the C2 lever you hold may move so that it pops up, but this is not a malfunction. Push it all the way in and proceed to the next step.
Turn the C2 lever to the right to lock.

Close the front cover of the main station.
Continue following the instructions on the screen to proceed with the interrupted operation or continue clearing paper jams.

Paper Jams in Each Unit

The positions of each unit and the "C1 lever" and "D1 guide" in the procedure are as shown in the figure.

Open the fixing station front cover in the order of left and right.

Check whether paper is jammed in the cooling unit.
Open the B lever.
If paper is jammed, gently pull it out in the direction of the arrow.
Leave the B lever open. Close after checking for a paper jam in the fixing unit.

Check whether paper is jammed in the fixing unit.
There is a hot part around the fixing unit. Be careful not to touch the guide when removing the paper.
Tilt the C1 lever to the left to release the lock.
Holding the C1 lever, pull the fixing unit out.
If paper is jammed at the entrance of the fixing unit, gently pull it out in the direction of the arrow.
Open the C3 guide.
If paper is jammed, gently pull it out in the direction of the arrow keeping the C3 guide open by hand.
When you release the C3 guide, it closes.
Open the C4 cover.
If paper is jammed, gently pull it out in the direction of the arrow.
Close the C4 cover.
Gently push the fixing unit back into the machine holding the C1 lever.
When pushing in the fixing unit, the C1 lever you hold may move so that it pops up, but this is not a malfunction. Push it all the way in and proceed to the next step.
Turn the C1 lever to the right to lock.
Close the B lever of the cooling unit.

Check whether paper is jammed in the upper feeding guide (D1).
Open the D1 guide.
If paper is jammed, gently pull it out in the direction of the arrow.
Close the D1 guide.

Check whether paper is jammed in the decala unit (D2).
Open the D2 lever.
If paper is jammed, gently pull it out in the direction of the arrow.
Close the D2 lever.

Check whether paper is jammed in the inverted pull-in guide (right) (E1).
Open the E1 guide.
If paper is jammed, gently pull it out in the direction of the arrow.
Close the E1 guide.

Check whether paper is jammed in the inverted upper vertical path guide (left) (E2).
Open the E2 guide.
If paper is jammed, gently pull it out in the direction of the arrow.
Close the E2 guide.

Check whether paper is jammed in the path guide (left) (E3).
Open the E3 guide.
If paper is jammed, gently pull it out in the direction of the arrow.
Close the E3 guide.

Check whether paper is jammed in the inversion shift (left) (E4) or 2-sided inversion part (E5).
Open the E4 guide.
If paper is jammed in the inversion shift (left) (E4), gently pull it out in the direction of the arrow.
If paper is jammed in the 2-sided inversion part (E5), gently pull it out in the direction of the arrow.
Close the E4 guide.

Check whether paper is jammed in the 2-sided guide (right) (F1).
Open the F1 guide.
Turn the F2 knob clockwise.
If paper is jammed, gently pull it out in the direction of the arrow.
Close the F1 guide.

Close the fixing station front cover in the order of right and left.
Continue following the instructions on the screen to proceed with the interrupted operation or continue clearing paper jams.
