The wireless LAN function of this machine can now support WPA3-SAE (AES-CCMP) and WPA3-EAP (AES-CCMP).

Depending on when you purchased "Connection Kit for Bluetooth LE" installed on the machine, you may not be able to use WPA-3-SAE/WPA3-EAP. |

Security settingsIf the security standard for your wireless LAN router is WPA3-EAP, the encryption method is set to AES-CCMP. Also, specify the IEEE 802.1X authentication settings for the machine before connecting to the wireless LAN. |
When Setting Up a Connection by Selecting a WPA3 Compatible Wireless Router
You can search the wireless routers available for connection and select one from the display of the machine. If the security standard for your wireless LAN router is WPA3-SAE, enter the encryption key for the network key. Confirm and write down in advance information regarding your SSID, network key, security standard, or authentication/encryption method, etc.

The machine starts searching for available wireless routers.

When Setting Up the Wireless LAN Connection by Specifying Detailed Settings
If you want to specify the security settings in detail or cannot establish the wireless connection using the other procedures, manually enter all the required information for the wireless LAN connection. Confirm and write down in advance information regarding your SSID, network key, security standard, or authentication/encryption method, etc.

When the wireless LAN router is detected and the configuration is complete, the screen <Connected.> will be displayed.
(Ver.3.19-)Support for Using the Wireless LAN on the Main Line
You can now use the wireless LAN on the main line when the machine is connected to two different networks at the same time.

When <Main Line> or <Sub Line> is set to <Wireless LAN>If you change the settings from <Main Line> to <Sub Line> or from <Sub Line> to <Main Line>, the previous wireless LAN connection settings will be cleared, so you must reconnect to the wireless LAN. When <Main Line> or <Sub Line> is set to <Wired LAN>Set <Sleep Mode Energy Use> to <High>. When <Main Line> is set to <Wireless LAN>, and <Sub Line> is set to <Wired LAN>The wired LAN connected to the LAN port on the machine becomes the sub line. The wired LAN connected to the machine via a USB-LAN adapter cannot connect using the sub line. |

When Connecting Directly to a Mobile DeviceWhen the machine is not connected to a wireless LAN, <Access Point Mode> cannot be used in <Direct Connection Type>. Connect the machine to a wireless LAN or change the configuration not to use <Wireless LAN> for <Main Line> and <Sub Line>. When <Main Line> or <Sub Line> is selected for <Wireless LAN> in <Select Interface>, <Wi-Fi Direct> cannot be used in <Direct Connection Type>. |
Support for Using MAC Address Filtering for Sub Line Communication
When the machine is connected to two different networks at the same time, you can now set up a firewall in MAC address for the Sub Line.
Configuring the Firewall in MAC Addresses of the Sub Line

Select <Outbound Filter> or <Inbound Filter>.
To restrict data sent from the machine to a computer, select <Outbound Filter>.
To restrict data received from a computer, select <Inbound Filter>.

Set <Use Filter> to <On>, select <Default Policy>, then press <Register>.
For <Default Policy>, select <Reject> to only allow communication with devices that have a MAC address specified in <Exception Addresses> in the next step, or select <Allow> to reject communication with them.
If <Reject> is selected for <Default Policy>, the restrictions do not apply to sending to multicast or broadcast addresses.

Enter the exception addresses, and press <OK>.
Specify the MAC addresses to designate as exceptions of the <Default Policy> option selected in the previous step.
You can register 100 exception addresses for <Outbound Filter> and <Inbound Filter>.
To edit an exception address
On the screen displayed in step 4, select the exception address that you want to edit, and press <Edit> to display the edit screen.
