Paper Jams in the Lower Feeding Unit/Paper Decks of the Main Unit

This section describes how to clear a paper jam which occurs in the lower feeding unit/paper decks of the main unit. Check the paper jam location on the screen, and follow the procedure below to remove the paper.
The location of the lower feeding unit/paper decks of the main unit is indicated in the following illustration.
When opening and closing each guide or cover, be careful not to get your fingers caught in the gap.
Make sure to perform all procedures without omitting.
The following illustration indicates the location of the paper jam. Please refer to it to remove the jammed paper.

Open the marking engine front cover in the order of left and right.

Lift up the guide (D).

Remove any jammed paper, and place back the guide (D).

Press the button (A1) to open the right under cover.

Remove any jammed paper.

Turn the dial (A2) in the direction of the arrow, and remove any jammed paper.

Push the lever to open the guide (A3).

Remove any jammed paper.

Close the guide (A3).

Close the right under cover.

Push the button on the right paper deck.

Grip the handle, and pull out the paper deck until it stops.
Do not pull out the paper deck by force.

Remove any jammed paper.

Close the right paper deck.

Close the marking engine front cover in the order of right and left.
Continue following the instructions on the screen to proceed with the interrupted operation or continue clearing paper jams.
