Reducing the Operation Sound (Quiet Mode)

Quiet Mode is a function which reduces the operation sound of the machine.
By pressing on the control panel, the machine enters the quiet mode. Control Panel
When the machine is in the quiet mode,  lights in green.

Canceling the Quiet Mode

By pressing on the control panel, turns off.

Specifying the Time

You can set the machine to enter or exit the quiet mode at a specified time.
This section describes how to configure using the Remote UI from a computer.
On the control panel, configure from [Menu] in the [Home] screen [Preferences]. [Timer/Energy Settings]

Log in to Remote UI in System Manager Mode. Starting Remote UI

On the Portal page of Remote UI, click [Settings/Registration]. Portal Page of Remote UI

Click [Timer Settings] [Edit].
The [Edit Timer Settings] screen is displayed.

Specify the time.
Setting the machine to enter the quiet mode at the specified time
Select [Specify Quiet Mode Time Settings] and enter the time in [Start Time].
When the time is displayed in the 12-hour notation, select [AM] or [PM] after entering the time.
Setting the machine to exit the quiet mode at the specified time
Select [Specify Quiet Mode Time Settings] and enter the time in [End Time].
When the time is displayed in the 12-hour notation, select [AM] or [PM] after entering the time.

Click [OK].
The settings are applied.

Log out from Remote UI.
When the machine is in the quiet mode, each function operates slower than usual.
The volume of the sounds, such as [Entry Tone] or [Warning Tone], which notify the operations on the machine or the machine status will not be reduced. Adjusting the Volume (For Models with a Fax Function)
