Replacing the Toner Cartridge

When toner starts running low or has run out, a message is displayed prompting you to prepare a new toner cartridge or perform toner cartridge replacement. Prepare a new toner cartridge or perform toner cartridge replacement according to the displayed message.

Cautions When Replacing the Toner Cartridge

Do not replace toner cartridges until the message prompting you to do so appears.
Avoid touching or scratching the drum surface () or exposing it to light.

Procedure for Replacing the Toner Cartridge

When replacing toner cartridges, follow the instructions shown in the video along with those written below.

Press the toner replacement cover open button to open the front cover of the main unit.

Pull out the toner cartridge tray, hold the handle of the toner cartridge, and pull it out in the up direction.

Remove the replacement toner cartridge from the box, shake the cartridge five or six times as shown below to evenly distribute the toner inside the cartridge, and then place it on a flat surface.
De not remove the drum protective cover () in this step.

Remove the drum protective cover.

Install the toner cartridge.
Place the toner cartridge in the toner cartridge tray, and push it in until it stops.
Take care not to bump the drum into the frame of the toner cartridge tray or other parts.

Close the front cover of the main unit.
