Error Screen Displayed During the Printer Search
Follow the instructions in the error message to fix the problem.
If the message displayed prompts you to check the IP address, check the printer’s IP address setting.
Checking the Printer’s IP AddressIf a message is displayed indicating that the specified IP address is being used by a device that does not support this software, check the printer’s IP address or specify the IP address again.
Checking the Printer’s IP AddressSetting IPv4 AddressesIf taking the steps listed above does not fix the problem, check the firewall settings and change the settings if necessary.

However, if [DHCP] is set in an environment where DHCP cannot be used, the printer will continue to confirm Auto Acquire within the network, generating unnecessary communication. If DHCP will not be used, select the [Off] setting. [Auto IP] This is normally set to [On]. Priority is given to the IP address allocated by DHCP, but if there is no response from DHCP, Auto IP will be used. |

Press the printer’s power switch to turn the printer OFF, wait at least 10 seconds, and then press the power switch again.
The printer starts up and the settings are applied.

Checking the Currently Set IP AddressYou can check the current IP address by pressing [Check Settings] in the screen in Step 3. If "0.0.0.0" is displayed as the IP address, it is not correctly configured. * If you are using DHCP to automatically obtain the printer’s IP address, the IP address may be changed automatically. |

Checking and Configuring the Firewall Settings
If a message is displayed on the computer warning you that Canon software is attempting to access the network while you are using Master Setup, check the computer’s firewall settings. Then, configure the settings to allow access, as needed.
