Checking the Printer’s IP Address

Press on the control panel, or press [Status Monitor]   on the [Home] screen or other location.

The [Status Monitor] screen is displayed.

Press [Network Information]    [IPv4]    [IP Address]  .

Check the setting, and press .

Color Touch Panel Model

Press [Preferences]    [Network]    [TCP/IP Settings]    [IPv4 Settings]    [IP Address Settings]  .

If the login screen is displayed, enter the System Manager ID and PIN, and then press , or press [Log In]  .

Set the IP address.

When Manually Setting the IP Address

1	Press [Auto Acquire]  . The [Auto Acquire] screen is displayed.
2	Press [Select Protocol]    [Off]  .
3	Press [Auto IP]    [Off]  .
4	Press [<Apply>]  . The [IP Address Settings] screen is displayed.
5	Press [Manually Acquire]  . The IP address input screen is displayed.
6	Enter the IP address and press [Apply] or .
7	Enter the subnet mask and press [Apply] or .
8	Enter the gateway address and press [Apply] or .

When Assigning an IP Address Automatically

1	Press [Auto Acquire]  . The [Auto Acquire] screen is displayed.
2	Configure the Auto Acquire setting, as needed. [Select Protocol] This is normally set to [DHCP]. However, if [DHCP] is set in an environment where DHCP cannot be used, the printer will continue to confirm Auto Acquire within the network, generating unnecessary communication. If DHCP will not be used, select the [Off] setting. [Auto IP] This is normally set to [On]. Priority is given to the IP address allocated by DHCP, but if there is no response from DHCP, Auto IP will be used.
3	Press [<Apply>]  .

Press the printer’s power switch to turn the printer OFF, wait at least 10 seconds, and then press the power switch again.

The printer starts up and the settings are applied.

Checking the Currently Set IP Address You can check the current IP address by pressing [Check Settings]   in the screen in Step 3. If "0.0.0.0" is displayed as the IP address, it is not correctly configured. * If you are using DHCP to automatically obtain the printer’s IP address, the IP address may be changed automatically.
