Authenticating a Cloud Service

You can configure authentication settings for using a cloud service from Cloud Connector.
Required Preparations
Before configuring authentication settings, user registration must be performed for Cloud Connector.
Prepare the PIN code obtained during the user registration process.
Authentication is required for each cloud service to use.
If you do not have an account for the cloud service to use, create one in advance.
1
On the Home screen, press the button for the cloud service to use.
The procedure for Google Drive is used here as an example.
2
Enter the PIN code obtained during the user registration process, and press [Login].
If you forget the PIN Code, you can issue another one. For more information, see the following.
3
Press [Send instructions via email].
An e-mail requested authorization for the cloud service is sent to the e-mail address set during the user registration process.
Perform step 4 within one hour.
If you are using a mobile device, you can scan the QR code to open the screen requesting authorization, instead of from e-mail.
If the e-mail does not arrive, see the following.
4
Open the e-mail, and click [Sign in to Google Drive™].
If you cannot click [Sign in to Google Drive™], change the display format of the e-mail to HTML. For information on changing the display format, see the manual for your e-mail client.
5
When the screen for authorizing the cloud service is displayed, follow the instructions on the screen to authorize access from Cloud Connector.
When authorization is complete, the following screen is displayed.
This concludes the procedure for configuring authentication settings.
Printing/scanning using a cloud service can be performed simply by entering a PIN code in Cloud Connector. It is not necessary to log in to the cloud service.
If the password of the cloud service is changed, the authentication settings must be configured again. Perform the procedure described on this page again.
