Store the ink pack/conditioning liquid/maintenance liquid as follows.
Store the packaging box unopened in the specified manner until the ink pack/conditioning liquid/maintenance liquid is to be used.
Do not store them in the following locations:
Locations where the ink/conditioning liquid/maintenance liquid will freeze
Locations with open flames
Locations exposed to direct sunlight
Locations with high atmospheric salinity
Locations filled with corrosive gas (such as aerosol spray or ammonia)
Locations at high temperature or high humidity
Locations subject to condensation or sudden changes in temperature or humidity
Dusty locations
Locations with young children
Near products that emit electromagnetism
Recommended storage temperature: 20°C to 27°C (68°F to 80.6°F)
Using an ink pack/conditioning liquid/maintenance liquid stored at a temperature other than the recommended storage temperature may reduce the print quality.
Storage period: 2 years (unopened, in packaged form)
Precautions regarding modification and disassembly
Performing modification or disassembly such as opening holes in the ink/conditioning liquid/maintenance liquid pack may cause the ink/conditioning liquid/maintenance liquid to leak and lead to product failure. Modification and disassembly are not recommended.
Precautions regarding non-genuine ink/conditioning liquid/maintenance liquid
Using non-genuine ink/conditioning liquid/maintenance liquid such as ink/conditioning liquid/maintenance liquid refills may reduce the print quality and cause printhead failure. Although there is no problem with safety, there have been reports of the printhead emitting heat or smoke* due to the constituents of the non-genuine ink/conditioning liquid/maintenance liquid. We recommend the use of genuine Canon ink packs/conditioning liquid/maintenance liquid.
*Such incidents have not been reported for all non-genuine ink/conditioning liquid/maintenance liquid.
IMPORTANT
A fee is required to fix any problems caused by the use of a non-genuine ink/conditioning liquid/maintenance liquid pack or non-genuine ink/conditioning liquid/maintenance liquid, even during the maintenance contract period or warranty period.
