Loading Paper

To ensure print quality, confirm the usable paper and how to handle and store paper, and prepare the appropriate paper. Usable Paper/Precautions When Handling Paper

Load the prepared paper in the machine, and then configure the paper size and type settings.
When there are multiple output trays, you can configure the output destination settings, as needed.
Loading Paper
Load paper you usually use into the paper drawer, which can hold large amounts of paper.
To temporarily use paper not loaded in the paper drawer, load it in the multi-purpose tray.
For how to load paper in the optional large-capacity paper source, see the following:
When using envelopes or paper with a logo, be careful of the orientation of the loaded paper and which side is face up.
Paper Settings
To ensure clear printing and prevent paper jams, the paper size and type must be set correctly according to the loaded paper.
Output Destination Settings
When there are multiple output trays, you can specify to which output tray to output printed and copied paper.
IMPORTANT
Do Not Mix Different Paper
Use all the loaded paper before loading new paper. Supplying paper when paper is already loaded may cause misfeeds or paper jams.
Do not load paper of different item names or types into the same paper source.
NOTE
When Using Transparencies
Load transparencies that could result in misfeeds or paper jams one sheet at a time.
If transparencies are left in the paper drawer or multi-purpose tray, they may stick together, resulting in misfeeds or paper jams. When you have completed printing, return any remaining transparencies to the original package, and store them away from high temperature and humidity.
