Configuring the Proxy of the Sub Line

When the machine is connected to two different networks at the same time, and a proxy is used to send and receive specific system data via the sub line, configure the proxy settings of the sub line.
* The proxy settings of the sub line can only be used to send and receive specific system data and cannot be used via normal Internet connection.
* When using a proxy via the sub line for purposes other than sending and receiving specific system data, set the proxy server used for the sub line in the proxy settings of the main line. Using a Proxy
 
This section describes how to configure the settings using Remote UI from a computer.
On the control panel, select [ Settings/Registration] in the [Home] screen or other screen, and then select [Preferences] to configure the settings. [Proxy Settings]
Administrator or NetworkAdmin privileges are required.
Required Preparations
Prepare the address, port number, and authentication information of the proxy server.

Log in to Remote UI as an administrator. Starting Remote UI

On the Portal page of Remote UI, click [Settings/Registration]. Remote UI Portal Page

Click [Network Settings].

Click [Settings for System Data Communication] for the sub line settings.
The settings screen for system data communication of the sub line is displayed.

Select the [Use Proxy] checkbox under [Proxy Settings].

Enter the address and port number of the proxy server.
In [HTTP Proxy Server Address], enter the IP address and host name.
In [HTTP Proxy Server Port Number], enter the port number.

Configure the authentication information if authentication is required when connecting to the proxy server.
Select the [Use Proxy Authentication] checkbox, enter the user name to use for authentication, and enter the same password in [Password] and [Confirm] using alphanumeric characters.

Click [OK].

Click [Apply Setting Changes] [OK].
The settings are applied.

Log out from Remote UI.
