A communication error may occur due to the quality of the line. Contact the line provider.

Lowering the Communication Start Speed and Checking the TX and RX Status

Use the following procedure to lower the communication start speed in phases, and check whether you can send and receive faxes.
Administrator or DeviceAdmin privileges are required.
When You Cannot Send a Fax
Log in to Remote UI as an administrator click [Settings/Registration] [Send] [Communications Settings - Fax Settings] in [TX Start Speed], select the speed click [OK]
On the control panel, press [ Settings/Registration], and configure the setting in [Function Settings]. [TX Start Speed]
When You Cannot Receive a Fax
Log in to Remote UI as an administrator click [Settings/Registration] [Receive/Forward] [RX Start Speed/RX Password] in [RX Start Speed], select the speed click [OK]
On the control panel, press [ Settings/Registration], and configure the setting in [Function Settings]. [RX Start Speed]
NOTE
You can also configure the sending speed for each destination in the detailed settings of the Address Book and one-touch buttons.

Auto Adjusting the Communication Speed When Using VoIP

Configure this setting to send and receive faxes more reliably over a VoIP network where communication errors are likely to occur.
Administrator privileges are required.
Log in to Remote UI as an administrator click [Settings/Registration] [Send] [Settings for Communication Speed When Using VoIP] select the [Auto Adjust Communication Speed When Using VoIP] checkbox click [OK]
On the control panel, press [ Settings/Registration], and configure the setting in [Function Settings]. [Auto Adjust Communication Speed When Using VoIP]
