Checking the Remaining Amount of Consumables and Parts
You can check the current remaining toner level in increments of 10% and check the space available in the waste toner container. When you are using the optional finisher, you can also check the remaining amount of staples.
Check the remaining amount of consumables and parts, for example, to see if you need to prepare a new toner cartridge, waste toner container, or staples before printing a large volume document.
* The displayed value for the remaining amount of consumables and parts is for reference and may not indicate the actual amount remaining.

On the control panel, press [
Status Monitor] in the [Home] screen or other screen.

Press [Consumables/Others] to check the remaining amount of consumables and parts.
You can use [Other Information] to check the following information:
Remaining amount of toner for each color
Space available in the waste toner container
Staple supply status (when using the finisher)
Saddle staple supply status (when using the finisher)
Amount of punch waste (when using the finisher)
When the remaining amount of toner or space available in the waste toner container is low and you need to prepare to replace these, press [Check Consumables] to check the following:
Item names of consumables and consumable parts
Remaining number of days until replacement (estimated)
NOTE
Notifying You of the Color of Toner That Is Low
You can configure to display a screen on the control panel to notify you of the color of the toner that is low and that a new toner cartridge needs to be prepared.

The remaining number of days is the estimated number of days until replacement based on usage. "1 year or more" may be displayed a little while after using the machine for the first time.
Even if "Replacement Needed" is displayed in the remaining number of days, do not replace the consumables or parts until the message instructing you to replace these is displayed at the bottom of the control panel.
