Reducing the Operation Sound (Quiet Mode)
Quiet Mode is a function which reduces the operation sound of the machine.
Configuring and Canceling the Quiet Mode
You can set the machine to enter or exit the quiet mode from the control panel.
Use the control panel to configure the settings. You cannot configure the settings using Remote UI from a computer.

On the control panel, press [Menu] in the [Home] screen.

Press [On] or [Off].
The settings are applied.
If the message [When set to On, print speed slows down. Is it OK?] appears, press [Yes].
Specifying the Time
You can set the machine to enter or exit the quiet mode at a specified time.
This section describes how to configure using the Remote UI from a computer.
On the control panel, configure from [Menu] in the [Home] screen
[Preferences].
[Timer/Energy Settings]* This setting is only available when [Quiet Mode] is set to [Off].

Log in to Remote UI in System Manager Mode.

On the Portal page of Remote UI, click [Settings/Registration].

Click [Timer Settings]
[Edit].
The [Edit Timer Settings] screen is displayed.

Specify the time.
Setting the machine to enter the quiet mode at the specified time
Select [Specify Quiet Mode Time Settings] and enter the time in [Start Time].
When the time is displayed in the 12-hour notation, select [AM] or [PM] after entering the time.
Setting the machine to exit the quiet mode at the specified time
Select [Specify Quiet Mode Time Settings] and enter the time in [End Time].
When the time is displayed in the 12-hour notation, select [AM] or [PM] after entering the time.

Click [OK].
The settings are applied.

Log out from Remote UI.
