Preparing to Switch [Monitoring Method]

This section describes the preparations required before switching [Monitoring Method].

If [Monitoring Mode] is Currently Set to [Standard Mode]

This section describes the procedure for changing [Monitoring Mode] from [Standard Mode] to [CCA Mode] in this software and changing [Monitoring Method] to [CCA] for a device with the Cloud Connection Agent.
1.
Create an authentication information file (keytab file) for proxy server connection.
An authentication information file (keytab file) may be required, depending on the environment where this software operates.

Configure the settings for changing [Monitoring Mode] to [CCA Mode].

Register the device authentication information required for using the Cloud Connection Agent function to monitor the device to this software.

If [Monitoring Mode] is Currently Set to [CCA Mode]

If the Cloud Connection Agent function has been added to the device due to a device firmware update, you can use the following procedure to change [Monitoring Method] from [Polling] to [CCA].
1.
Create an authentication information file (keytab file) for proxy server connection.
NOTE
If the settings required for proxy server connection were completed when the monitoring mode was set to [CCA Mode], it is not necessary to configure them again.
An authentication information file (keytab file) may be required, depending on the environment where this software is operating.

2.
Register the device authentication information required for using the Cloud Connection Agent function to monitor the device to this software.
For details on the procedure, see the following.
3.
Deliver settings to the device for monitoring and restart the device.
NOTE
This operation is only required if the settings were changed when setting the monitoring mode to [CCA Mode].
Devices for monitoring with [CCA Mode] support software delivery and license management via the Remote Distribution & Management Service.
Select whether to automatically or manually configure the settings for making the function usable from this software.

If automatic updating is set, the device is automatically configured and restarted at the specified time of day.
