Paper Jams in Staple Finisher-AQ and Booklet Finisher-AQ (Option)
Remove the paper jammed in Staple Finisher-AQ and Booklet Finisher-AQ. Follow the instructions on the control panel to check the location of the paper jam and remove the jammed paper.
If the paper tears, be sure to remove all parts so that no pieces remain.
If you cannot remove the paper, do not try to remove it forcibly. Check the control panel and remove the jammed paper at another location.
Paper Jams Inside the Front Cover
This section describes how to clear paper jams inside the front cover. Follow the instructions on the control panel to check the location of the paper jam and remove the jammed paper.

Open the front cover of the finisher.

Turn the B1 knob.

Open the B2 guide and pull out any jammed paper in the direction of the arrow.

Close the B2 guide.

Open the guides (B3 and B4 in that order) and check whether paper is jammed.

If paper is jammed in the B3 guide, gently pull it out in the direction of the arrow.

If paper is jammed in the B4 guide, gently pull it out in the direction of the arrow.

Close the guides (B4 and B3 in that order)

Turn the B1 knob.

Close the front cover of the finisher.
When the paper jam is cleared, the screen indicating a paper jam disappears, and printing resumes automatically.
If a screen indicating a paper jam at a different location appears, continue following the instructions on the screen to remove the jammed paper.

Paper Jams Inside the Saddle Stitch Unit (For Booklet Finisher-AQ Only)

Open the front cover of the finisher.

If the light (

) is lit, push the C1 dial and turn it in the direction of the arrow.
Turn the C1 dial until the light turns off.
The jammed paper is fed to the booklet tray.

If there is jammed paper on the conveyor of the booklet tray, remove it.

Turn the C2 knob and pull out the saddle stitch unit (C3).
Turn the knob about 10 times.

Check whether paper is jammed.

Open the C4 guide.

If paper is jammed, gently pull it out in the direction of the arrow.

Close the C4 guide.

Gently push the saddle stitch unit (C3) into the finisher.

Close the front cover of the finisher.
When the paper jam is cleared, the screen indicating a paper jam disappears, and printing resumes automatically.
