NOTE
When the resolution is set to 600 dpi, [High 1] and [High 2] can be selected.

Set the resolution to be used for print data processing.
To print at a higher resolution, select [1200 dpi].
However, select [600 dpi] when you print on Long Sheet paper. If you select [1200 dpi], printing cannot be performed because the machine does not have enough memory for processing.
* This setting is applied when you print in PCL6 or PS mode or use Direct Print.

Adjust the toner volume for data such as text and lines so as not to exceed the limit value of the machine.
Normally, select [Normal]. This maintains the resolution of text and lines while adjusting the toner volume for other types of data to ensure the proper color tones.
To adjust the toner volume so that the proper color tones are ensured for all types of data, select [Grad. Priority]. Text and lines may become blurry when you use this setting.
To adjust the toner volume so that the proper resolution is ensured for all types of data, select [Text Priority]. The color tones may not match when you use this setting.
* You cannot change the machine's limit value for the toner volume.

You can also set whether to apply the smoothing process to graphics and text separately.

Set whether to adjust the density of text to make it more legible when the document that contains colored text is printed in black and white.
Although this setting is effective for light-colored text, it has no effect on the following types of data:
Text data rendered as a graphic or image
PDF data
If [Off] is selected when you perform black and white printing for the document that contains light-colored text, the text will be printed more faintly and will be more difficult to see than when [On] is selected.
If the text appears enhanced even when [Off] is selected, configure the settings so that the smoothing process is not performed. [Advanced Smoothing]
