[Windows] Precautions for shared printer environments (Point and Print environments)

Note the following precautions when using a driver in a shared printer environment (Point and Print environment).

Installing and using multiple drivers

For precautions on installing and using multiple drivers, see the following.

Uninstalling drivers

If the installer was used for installation, launch the uninstaller from [Programs and Features] on the control panel to uninstall the driver.
If the installer was not used for installation, delete the driver from the properties screen of the Windows print server.

Updating drivers

The time it takes for updated drivers to be reflected in clients differs according to the operating system environment.
Department IDs and PINs set in a driver on a print server are not reflected in the shared printer on the client side.
