Setting the Punch Hole

With Document Binder, the punch hole settings for binder documents can be specified.

When a Canon printer is selected and [Use print settings of Document Binder] is selected, these settings can be configured. The hole-punching setting is saved together with the binder document as the print setting information of the binder document. When the print location of the header/footer overlaps with the staple or hole punch position, adjust the print position by setting the gutter with the printer properties.

Cautions and Restrictions

Select hole punching method from [Hole punch] in the [Print Settings] tab in the [Print Settings] pane.

The Preview Pane is updated.

The Portrait position varies depending on the following settings. The printer selected in [Printer Name]. [Output Size] [Output Paper Orientation] [Binding Location] The setting in [Output Size], [Staple], and [Fold] may change the settings of [Hole punch] that have already been configured. When [Auto] is selected in [Output Size], [Hole punch] is changed to [Off]. If the gutter is set to less than 20 mm (25/32 inch), setting a hole punch causes a message to be displayed. Clicking [Yes] automatically sets the gutter to 20 mm (25/32 inch). Clicking [No] cancels the gutter setting.
