Setting Fonts

The font used for selected text objects and the default font used for newly created text objects can be configured in the object edit mode in Object Layout Editor.

Changing Fonts

You can change the font of selected objects.
1.
Click the desired text object in the Work Pane.
Or, drag the mouse pointer selection rectangle to include the object to edit.

You can change the font of multiple text objects simultaneously.

Select the [Objects] menu > [Text Properties].
Or, right-click and select [Text Properties].
The [Text Properties] dialog box is displayed.

Configure the detailed font settings.
[Font]
Select the font to use from the list displayed when you click . When double-byte characters are included in the selected text box, the Type 1 font cannot be set.
[Size]
Select the font size to use from the list displayed when you click . You can also enter the font size directly. Font sizes that can be configured are between 3.0 and 72.0 points. If it is entered directly, the figures below the second decimal place are omitted.
[Style]
Select the check box for the style you want to use. You can combine more than one style.
[Bold]
Select this check box to specify the bold style.
[Italic]
Select this check box to specify the italic style.
[Font Color]
Select the color you want to use from the list displayed when you click . When you want to use a color that is not available in the list, click [More Colors].
[More Colors]
The [Color] dialog box is displayed, and you can set a color that is not listed in [Font Color].

Click [OK].
When multiple text objects are selected, objects to which the settings can be applied are only changed. When you click [OK] while settings can be applied to none of the selected objects, a message will be displayed and you will return to the [Text Properties] dialog box.
Note
The changed settings are applied to all the selected text objects. Existing settings are retained for items that are not changed.

Configuring the Default Font

You can configure the default font used when new text objects are created.
1.
Ensure that no object is selected.
2.
Select the [Objects] menu > [Text Properties] to configure the details of the default font.
For information on setting fonts, see step 3 of the following.
