Settings Flow
Variable fields are set as follows:
1.
Create the database file to set as the variable field.
2.
Perform tasks, such as adding annotations and reducing margins, for each module.
For information on performing tasks for each module, see the following.
3.
Start Variable Editor.
For more information on starting Variable Editor, see the following.
4.
Open the database.
Connect to a database you want to use for the variable data.
5.
Insert variable fields.
Configure settings such as placing the variable field on a page in the binder document or setting a link to a field in the database.
6.
Configure the properties of the variable field.
Configure the properties of the placed variable field, such as in what way to display it.
Make sure that the variable data has been configured properly.
If an error occurs after checking the variable data, you can edit the variable data.
7.
Save the variable field and variable data.
Save the variable field settings in the binder document.
8.
If necessary, use Document Binder to configure print settings.
