A Phillips screwdriver is required.Have a screwdriver ready that matches the size of the screws for the slot cover.

Shut down the printer before turning it OFF.

(2) Turn the computer OFF.
(3) Disconnect the cable from the printer.

LAN cable*

(4) Disconnect the cable from the printer.

Power cord
|
(5) Disconnect the power plug from the AC power outlet.
(6) Disconnect the cord from the printer.

Whether the cable is connected or not varies depending on your environment.

While holding the tab (A), open the cover a little.
|

Remove the cover in the direction of the arrow.

Remove the two screws.
|

Open the slot cover.
|
(3)

Remove the cover in the direction of the arrow.

About the locations for installing RAM and ROMConfirm the installation locations and their orientations before installing the RAM and ROM modules.

Aligning the projection (A) with the notch (B), insert the RAM module horizontally into the slot.

Push the RAM module into the printer firmly. The RAM module is fixed by the levers (C) on the left and right.

IMPORTANT
|
If the module is installed properlyThe connector (D) of the RAM module is inserted to the position shown in the figure.
If the RAM module is not inserted into the slot as shown in the figure, see "Removing RAM or ROM" and remove the RAM module once.

Attach the slot cover.

Close the cover.

Attach and fasten the two screws.

Attach the right cover.

Close the cover.
