Initializing the Network Settings

If you want to reset the network settings of the printer to the default values, use any one of the following methods.

 Initializing Using the Remote UI

You can initialize the settings by accessing the printer from a Web browser via the network.

 Initializing Using FTP Client

You can initialize the settings by accessing the FTP server of the printer using Command Prompt.

 Initializing Using NetSpot Device Installer

You can initialize the settings using the Canon software, NetSpot Device Installer, in the supplied CD-ROM.
Even if none of the above methods work, you can initialize the network settings by using the reset button on the printer.
IMPORTANT
Precautions when initializing the network settings
Make sure that the printer is not operating before initializing the network settings.
If you initialize the network settings while the printer is printing or receiving data, the received data may not be printed properly, or may result in paper jams or damage to the printer.
