Checking/Printing the Communication Log

You can check and print the following information on the Communication log: Start time, destination address, delivery result, end time, data content, and end code.

Checking the Communication Log

To "Settings/Registration Table."
1.
Press (Settings/Registration).
2.
Press [Management Settings] → [Device Management] → [Device Information Delivery Settings].
3.
Press [Communication Log].
Check the communincation log.
To view the detailed information of a communication log, select the log → press [Details] → [OK].
4.
Press [OK] → [OK].

Printing the Communication Log

To "Settings/Registration Table."
1.
Press (Settings/Registration).
2.
Press [Management Settings] → [Device Management] → [Device Information Delivery Settings].
3.
Press [Communication Log].
To print automatically:

Press [Report Settings] → specify each setting.
If you want to specify detailed print settings, press [Report Settings].
<Auto Print (100 Transmissions)>
Select [On] to automatically print the Management Report when the number of send and receive transmissions reaches 100.
<Specify Print Time>
To print the report at a specified time, press [On] → enter the time using - (numeric keys).
Enter all four digits of the time (including zeros), using 24-hour notation.
Examples:
7:05 a.m.
→0705
11:18 p.m.
→2318
If you make a mistake when entering the time, press (Clear) to clear your entry → enter another four digit number.
If the number of send and receive transmissions exceed 100 before the specified Auto Print time is reached, a communication log of the most recent 100 transmissions is printed.
If you want to print the delivery and reception logs separately, set [Separate Report Time] to 'On'.
NOTE
The lists can be printed only if 11" x 17", LGL, LTR, or LTRR (plain, recycled, thin, or color paper) is loaded in a paper source whose settings in [Other] in [Paper Drawer Auto Selection On/Off] in [Function Settings] (Settings/Registration) are set to 'On'. However, if you set [Consider Paper Type] for [Copy] to 'On' in [Paper Drawer Auto Selection On/Off], you cannot print from a paper source with color paper specified. (See "Enabling Paper Drawer Auto Selection.")
The device information distribution, reception, and access reports are printed as separate reports.
Press [OK].
To print manually:
Press [Print List] → [Yes].

Press [OK] → [OK].
