Printing on Coated Paper

Confirming usable coated paper

This printer can use the following sizes of coated paper.

Standard sizes	A3, B4, A4, B5, A5, 305x457 mm, Ledger, Legal, Letter, Executive, Statement*, Foolscap, 8K, 16K and Long sizes
Custom paper sizes	In case of portrait orientation (only when the UFR II printer driver is used): Short edges 120.0 to 297.0 mm; Long edges 120.0 to 297.0 mm In case of landscape orientation: Short edges 76.2 to 304.8 mm; Long edges 120.0 to 457.2 mm
Long sizes	Short edges 210.0 to 297.0 mm; Long edges 457.3 to 1200.0 mm*

Coated paper (161 to 220 g/m²) cannot be used for 2-sided printing.

*	The paper can be loaded only in landscape orientation (when the long edges of the paper are parallel to the front side of the printer).

<Precautions when loading coated paper>

Fan the coated paper thoroughly, and then align the edges before loading them. If they are not fanned enough, multiple sheets of paper may be fed at once, causing paper jams.

When fanning or aligning the coated paper, try to hold the edges to avoid touching the printing surface.

Take care not to mark or stain the printing surface of the coated paper with fingerprints, dust, or oil. This may result in poor print quality.

Printing from an application

After loading coated paper, perform printing.

	The print speed drops when printing on coated paper.
	When printing on coated paper (130 to 220 g/m²), [Resolution] cannot be set to [1200 dpi].
