Turning ON/OFF the Power
The power switch is used to turn ON the machine. However, when turning OFF the machine, be sure to shut down the machine from the operation panel without using the power switch. This procedure is the same as that for turning ON/OFF a computer.
Turning ON the Power
Press the power switch of the machine. When the main screen appears on the display of the operation panel after self-diagnosis is performed, the machine is ready for printing.

Turning OFF the Power (Performing a Shutdown)
When turning OFF the machine, shut down the machine from the operation panel.

Performing a Shutdown without Using the Power SwitchIf you press the power switch to turn OFF the power, an unexpected error may occur. Follow the procedure below to properly turn OFF the power.

When <Could not execute.> appears
There is remaining print data. Delete the data (Reset Menu), and retry the operation. To cancel the operation, press

It may take a maximum of 10 minutes until the power is turned OFF, but it is not a failure.

Do not turn ON the power immediately after turning OFF the powerWait for 10 seconds or more, and then turn ON the power.

The machine slightly consumes power even after the power is turned OFF. To completely eliminate power consumption, unplug the power plug from the AC power outlet.
