Exporting/Importing Registered Data

The Address Book and menu options data that is registered in the machine can be exported to your computer, and the exported data can also be imported to the machine, enabling you to make a data backup or restoration. If using multiple machines of the same model, you can export/import the Address Book and most of the menu options data among the machines. To use this function, log on in System Manager Mode.

IMPORTANT
Do not turn OFF the machine until the export/import process is complete It may take a few minutes to complete the process. If the machine is turned OFF during the process, it may result in damage to data or the machine. Do not operate the machine during the export/import process Before exporting/importing, check that no operations such as printing documents are currently in progress.

NOTE

Settings that cannot be exported/imported

The table below shows the limitations when you export setting data from and import it to the same machine (with the same serial number). When you import the data that was exported from other machines of the same model or from other models, less settings, than those listed below, may be imported. For more information, contact your local authorized Canon dealer.

In addition to the settings listed below, some security-sensitive settings or information such as passwords are not exported/imported.
