Enables you to set the department ID and the PIN (password).

Descriptions of Settings

[Allow PIN Setting]/[Allow Password Setting]
Enables you to set [PIN] or [Password] in the dialog box. In a shared printer environment, deselect this item at the server if you want to disable PIN or password settings in the client computers.
Required condition: An account with full control permission for the printer.
[Department ID]
Enter the department ID (up to 8 characters) set at the printer.
[PIN]/[Password]
Enter a PIN or password of up to 7 numbers. If the PIN or password has not been set at the printer, leave this box blank.
[Verify]
Verifies whether the [Department ID] and [PIN]/[Password] content match those set at the printer.
[Confirm Department ID/PIN When Printing]
Displays a dialog box for confirming the department ID and the PIN/password when printing.
[Do Not Use Department ID Management When B&W Printing]
Enables you to print grayscale documents without applying department ID management.
Required conditions:
[Allow Black Printer Jobs] is set to [On] on the printer control panel
[Quality] tab → [Color Mode] → [Black and White]
[Authenticate Department ID/PIN at Device]
Performs authentication of the department ID and PIN/password at the device.
[Display Confirm Dialog]
Enables you to set the timing at which the [Confirm Department ID/PIN]/[Confirm Department ID/Password] dialog box is displayed.
[Every Time]
Displays the dialog box every time you print.
[First Time Only after Logging on]
Displays the dialog box once when you print for the first time after logging on to Windows, but not afterward.
[Only When the Date Changes]
Displays the dialog box only when the date differs from that of the last time you printed.
