Descriptions of Settings
[Profile]
Selecting a profile applies the registered settings. This is useful for saving frequently used settings.
[Add]
Enables you to register the current settings as a profile. You can set the name etc. in the
[Add Profile] Dialog Box.
[Edit]
Enables you to edit, import, and export profiles in the
[Edit Profile] Dialog Box.
[Output Method]
Enables you to select the method for outputting print data.
[Print]
Performs normal printing.
[Hold]
Saves print data temporarily in a hold queue in the printer. This function is useful when you want to perform proof printing. You can set a data name in the
[Hold Details] Dialog Box by clicking [Details].
[Secured Print]
Attaches a PIN (password) to the print data and stores it in the printer. This function is useful when printing confidential documents etc.
[Store]
Stores the print data in a mail box or user inbox in the printer. You can set the data name and storage destination from [Details] (
[Store Details] Dialog Box).
[Interrupt Print]
Interrupts the print job being processed at the printer to print another print job.
[Promote Print]
Prints the print job before other print jobs after the current print job is finished.
[Edit and Preview]
Combines multiple files into one when printing. You can also view a print preview and change the print settings. If you select [Lock], [Output Method] is locked in [Edit and Preview] mode. This function is useful for restricting the output methods of clients in a shared printer environment.
[Page Size]
Enables you to select the paper size prepared by the application.
[Output Size]
Enables you to select the actual paper size to be printed on. If you select a size that differs from the [Page Size] setting, the document is automatically enlarged or reduced to fit the [Output Size] setting.

If you have set multiple pages sizes in the application, the sizes will be printed to match the size selected in [Output Size]

If you select a page size larger than that supported by the printer for [Page Size], and select [Match Page Size] for [Output Size], A0, A1, and A2 sizes will be reduced to A3, while B1, B2, and B3 sizes will be reduced to B4.

[Copies]
Enables you to set the number of copies to be printed.

If you can set the number of copies in the application, set the number of copies in either the printer driver or the application.
|
[Orientation]
Enables you to select the print orientation with respect to the direction in which the page is fed through the printer.
[Page Layout]
Enables you to specify how many pages to print on each sheet of paper.
[1 on 1]
Prints one page of the document on sheet of paper.
[N on 1] (N = 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, or 16)
Prints multiple pages (N pages) of the document on each sheet of paper. Select the order in which the pages are printed from [Page Order].
[Page Order]
Select the order in which the pages are printed.

The document may not be printed correctly if collating is selected in the application when printing.
When [Orientation] - [Landscape] and [Page Layout] - [2 on 1] are used, [Top to Bottom/Left to Right]/[Top to Bottom/Right to Left] can be selected for [Page Order]. For documents that do not combine portrait and landscape pages, the print result does not change regardless of whether you select [Top to Bottom/Left to Right] or [Top to Bottom/Right to Left].
When printing a document that combines portrait and landscape pages with [Page Layout] - [2 on 1], it is recommended that you select [Output Method] - [Edit and Preview] to display the [Canon PageComposer] dialog box and check the print result in [Print Preview] (see Combining Multiple Files).

[Poster [1 x 2]]/[Poster [N x N]] (N = 2, 3, or 4)
Magnifies the print data of one page and prints it over multiple sheets (vertically x horizontally) of paper. When the printed sheets are joined together, they form a large print like a poster.
[Poster Details]
If you have selected [Page Layout] - [Poster [1 x 2]]/[Poster [N x N]] (N = 2, 3, or 4), you can configure detailed settings when printing a poster by displaying the
[Poster Details] Dialog Box.
[Manual Scaling]
Enables you to specify an enlargement/reduction ratio for printing. Enter the ratio in [Scaling].

If scaling is possible in the application, set the required scaling in the application without setting the scaling in the printer driver.

[Use 1 on 1 for Single-Page Data]
When you set this item, if [N on 1] (N≥2) is set in [Page Layout], a single page document will be laid out as 1 on 1 when printed.
[Watermark]
Enables you to superimpose a semi-transparent watermark such as [CONFIDENTIAL] or [COPY] over print data when printing.
Select [Watermark], and select a watermark to print from [Watermark Name]. Clicking [Edit Watermark] (
[Edit Watermark] Dialog Box) enables you to add new watermarks.
[Custom Paper Size]
In the
[Custom Paper Size Settings] Dialog Box, you can register and set non-standard paper sizes for printing.
[Page Options]
In the
[Page Options] Dialog Box, you can set layout options (borders, date, page numbers, etc.) and overlay printing settings.
[Restore Defaults]
Returns all the settings to their standard (default) values.
[View Settings]
Enables you to check the current settings in a list.
