In the case of continuous printing with <Mode 1> or <Mode 2> specified, printing a larger number of pages than a certain specific number triggers automatic cleaning, resulting in a slower printing speed. If you select <Mode 2>, cleaning will be performed more frequently than with <Mode 1>. |

With <Mode 1> or <Mode 2> specified, the CMYK toners are consumed even in black and white printing depending on the paper type used. Further, the print speed may be slower. With <Off> specified, black and white printing may result in uneven print density. The operation is the same for both <Mode 1> and <Mode 2>. |

If the quality of the printout is not acceptable when printing with [POP Printing Optimization] configured on the printer driver, specifying <Mode 2> is recommended. If you select <Off>, normal printing will be performed even if [POP Printing Optimization] is set in the printer driver. If you select <Mode 2>, the print speed will be slower. When [POP Printing Optimization] is configured, it is recommended that you also configure the following items. <Toner Cartridge Replacement Notif. Mode> <Auto POP Calibration> Paper sizes/paper types supporting POP printing Paper size: Standard size paper is recommended. For information on the paper sizes supported by the machine, see Available Paper. Paper Type: Thin*1, Plain 1*1, Plain 2, Plain 3, Color, Recycled 1, Recycled 2, Recycled 3, Letterhead 1*1, Letterhead 2, Letterhead 3, Letterhead 4*2, Letterhead 5*3, Heavy 1*2, Heavy 2*3, Coated 1*3, Coated 2*3, Coated 3*3 *1: There will be a margin of 8 mm on the lead edge. *2: For paper that is 129 g/m2 to 163 g/m2, it is recommended that you use <Mode 2>. *3: Even if you select <Mode 1>, <Mode 2> will be executed. For paper smaller than 431.9 mm in length and 290.0 mm in width, <Mode 2> will be executed even if you select <Mode 1>, regardless of the paper type.

You can change the timing to display a message when the toner remaining amount is low. <POP Print> displays the message at an earlier timing than <Standard Print>. When [POP Printing Optimization] is configured on the printer driver, the quality of the printout may not be acceptable if the toner remaining amount is low. Therefore, specifying <POP Print> is recommended. For more information on [POP Printing Optimization], see the manuals for the relevant drivers on the online manual website.

If setting both <Mode 1> and <Mode 2> does not reduce curling, set <Mode 1> and <Mode 2> to <Off> and set <Switch Paper Feed Method> to <Print Side Priority>.

When frequently executing combination jobs that print on wide paper after printing on narrow paper, setting this mode may improve productivity.

Setting this mode may reduce the print quality. If you select <Mode 1>, the productivity will be lower for plain paper, regardless of the size. If there is a small amount of narrow paper in combination jobs with different paper widths, setting <Mode 2> improves the productivity of printing on different size paper without reducing the productivity of printing on plain paper. Set <Mode 1> or <Mode 2> according to the amount of narrow paper to print on. |
