When Paper Jams
When a paper jam occurs, the attention light and navigation LED turn red. In addition, the main control panel indicates the location of the paper jam and the method for clearing it.
Status IndicatorsCheck the location of the paper jam and follow the instructions on the screen to clear the paper jam. The screen appears repeatedly until the paper jam is cleared.
When the paper jam is cleared, the press resumes printing from the page where the paper jam occurred.
Do not get your hands or fingers caught when opening or closing the cover.
The cover is heavy and may cause injury if your hands or fingers get caught.
When using the press or performing work with other people, be careful not to injure other users or workers by opening or closing the covers.
Do not touch sharp areas.
When touching the inside of the press, do not touch areas of the press outside the range indicated in this document or on the main control panel. Doing so may cause injury.
NOTE
Turning the media over and reloading it may solve the paper jam problem. However, media with different front and back sides, such as 1-sided coated media or printed media, cannot be turned over. Replace such media with new media.
If paper jams persist, clean the registration unit.
