Partial Gloss Irregularities Appear in Printed Images
If partial gloss irregularities appear when viewing printed images at an angle, the problem may be resolved by following the remedy below.
Clean the fixing belt of the FM2.

If necessary, check the paper family of the paper being used and change the media print mode settings for that family.
If the problem persists after performing step
1, try changing the settings in the order indicated below.
1Change [ColorGrip coverage] to a value 5 lower than the current value.
Example: If the current value is [30], change it to [25].
2Change [Secondary fixing belt temperature] to a value 10 lower than the current value (lower limit: [85]).
Example: If the current value is [105], change it to [95].
IMPORTANT
Reducing the amount of conditioning liquid can alleviate gloss irregularities, but the color space may bleed together.
NOTE
If the problem persists after trying the above, contact your maintenance representative or service representative. If necessary, consider replacing the top fixing belt.
