When Parts of the Printed Image Are Left Blank
The problem may be resolved by performing the remedy under the conditions that caused the symptom to occur.

If the Symptom Occurs on One Side for One-Sided Printing or Both Sides for Two-Sided Printing
Clean the fixing belt of the FM2.

If necessary, check the paper family of the paper being used and change the media print mode settings for that family.
If the problem persists after performing step
1, try changing the settings in the order indicated below.
1Set [Fixation impingement blow] to [1000].
2Set [Secondary fixing belt temperature] to [105].
3Set [Print speed] to [Low speed].
NOTE
If the problem persists after trying the above, contact your maintenance representative or service representative. If necessary, consider replacing the top fixing belt.
If the Symptom Occurs on One Side for Two-Sided Printing
Clean the decoupling belt/guide unit/primary fixing belt of FM1.

If necessary, lower the suction pressure of the primary fixing belt.
If the problem persists after performing step
1, check the paper family of the paper being used and change [Fixation belt suction pressure level] in the media print mode settings for that family to a value lower than the current value (lower limit: [-4]).
Example: If the current value is [0], change it to [-1].
IMPORTANT
If you lower the suction pressure of the primary fixing belt too far, thin paper may bulge or wave when output.
