Changing the Login Service for User Authentication

An application used for user authentication is called a "login service." The machine uses User Authentication for the login service, but it can be changed to DepartmentID Authentication.
 
Change the login service using the SMS from a computer. You cannot use the control panel to change the login service.
Administrator privileges are required. The machine must be restarted to apply the changes.

Log in to Remote UI as an administrator. Starting Remote UI

On the Portal page of Remote UI, click [Service Management Service]. Remote UI Portal Page

Click [System Application Management].
The [System Application Management] screen is displayed.

In [SMS Installer Service (Password Authentication)], click [Started].
The status becomes [Started].

Click [Enhanced System Application Management].
The [Enhanced System Application Management] screen is displayed.

In [DepartmentID Authentication] of [Login Service], click [Switch].
The status becomes [Start after Restart].

Restart the machine. Restarting the Machine
The login service is changed.
NOTE
Returning the Login Service to User Authentication
In [Login Service] of the [Enhanced System Application Management] screen, click [Switch] in [User Authentication], and restart the machine.
If SMS Installer Service (Password Authentication) is not used, display the [System Application Management] screen after restarting the machine, and click [Stopped] for [SMS Installer Service (Password Authentication)].
