Configuring SLP Communication
When using the machine in an environment with software that uses a Service Location Protocol (SLP) for communication, configure the SLP communication settings, as needed.
* See the manual of the software to determine whether the SLP communication settings need to be configured.
This section describes how to configure the settings using the control panel.

Log in to the machine as an administrator. Logging In to the Machine

On the control panel, press [

Press [Preferences] 
[Network] [TCP/IP Settings] [Multicast Discovery Settings].

Set [Response] to [On], enter the name of the scope to which the machine belongs, and press [OK].

Press [ Settings/Registration] [Yes].
