Adding Staples to the Paper Folding/Booklet Finisher

When staples in the staple unit or the saddle stitch unit of the paper folding/booklet finisher run out, [] is displayed at the bottom right of the screen. In this case, replace the staple case with a new one and add more staples.
You can press [] to display a step-by-step video of how to replace the staple case.

Replacing the Staple Case of the Staple Unit

Open the front cover of the finisher.

Remove the staple cartridge.
Hold the green knob on the staple cartridge and pull it straight out.

Remove the staple case from the staple cartridge.
Hold the part of the staple case indicated with the arrows (), and remove the staple case in the direction of the arrow shown above.

Remove a new staple case from the box.

Install the new staple case into the staple cartridge.
Insert the claw () on the front end of the staple case into the staple cartridge, and lower the staple case to install it.

Install the staple cartridge into the finisher.
Hold the green knob on the staple cartridge, and firmly push in the cartridge as far as it will go.

Close the front cover of the finisher.

Replacing the Staple Case of the Saddle Stitch Unit

Required Preparations
Remove all paper output to the booklet tray.

Open the front cover of the finisher.

Pull out the saddle stitch unit.

Remove the two staple cartridges while lowering the levers toward you.

Remove the staple case while holding both sides of the top of the staple case.

Remove a new staple case from the box.

Load the new staple case in the staple cartridge.

Install the two staple cartridges into the saddle stitch unit.
Firmly push in the cartridges as far as they will go.

Push in the saddle stitch unit.

Close the front cover of the finisher.
NOTE
If the Machine Does Not Staple after Installing a New Staple Case
The staples may not be reaching the front end of the cartridge. Reposition the staples. [Saddle Stitch Staple Repositioning]
