Setting the Device Information to Be Received (Client Machine)

When the machine is used as a client machine, configure whether or not the machine receives the distributed device information for each function.
By default, the machine is restricted from receiving the device information of any function.
 
Use the control panel to set the device information to be received. You cannot configure the settings using Remote UI from a computer.
Administrator privileges are required. The machine must be restarted to apply the settings.

Log in to the machine as an administrator. Logging In to the Machine

On the control panel, press [ Settings/Registration] in the [Home] screen or other screen. [Home] Screen
The [Settings/Registration] screen is displayed.

Press [Management Settings] [Device Management] [Device Information Distribution Settings].
The [Device Information Distribution Settings] screen is displayed.

Press [Restrict Receiving for Each Function] in [Receiving Settings].
The [Restrict Receiving for Each Function] screen is displayed.

Set the device information to be received to [Off].
The device information set to [On] will be restricted from being received so that the existing information will not be updated.

Press [OK] [OK].

Press [ Settings/Registration] [Yes].
The machine restarts, and the setting is applied.
NOTE
It is also possible to receive device information from a Canon multifunction machine of a different model by setting [Restrict Receiving Device Information] in [Receiving Settings] on the [Device Information Distribution Settings] screen to [Off]. However, some device information may not be distributed properly.
