To allow the machine to be discoverable when connected via the WSD port, settings are required on the machine. Check that the following items are set correctly.
Ensure that both [Use WSD Printing] and [Use Multicast Discovery] are enabled.
Start the Remote UI and log in to System Manager Mode [Settings/Registration] [Network Settings] [WSD Settings] [Edit] Select [Use WSD Printing] and [Use Multicast Discovery] [OK] Turn off the machine, and then turn on the machine after 10 seconds.
Ensure that <PDL Selection (Plug and Play)> matches the driver's page description language.
<Menu> <Function Settings> <Printer> <PDL Selection (Plug and Play)> <Network> Select the same driver as the installed driver <OK> Turn off the machine, and then turn on the machine after 10 seconds.
Check the OS network settings
To allow the machine to be discoverable when connected via the WSD port, it is required to set appropriate items in the network settings for the OS. Follow the steps below to configure the settings.
In Windows, [ Start] [ Settings] [Network & Internet] [Status] [Change connection properties] Select [Private] for [Network profile].
Check that the driver is installed
Follow the procedure below to check that the driver of the device to be discoverable has already been installed. If the driver is installed, uninstall it, and then reinstall it.
