Importing and Registering Documents

You can store and manage a document in a library of Desktop Browser by importing (registering) the document from an external device, local computer or network computer into the library. You can edit such documents imported in the library by using a module supplied with Desktop, such as Document Binder, Object Layout Editor, and Annotation Editor.
Follow one of the steps below to import (register) a document into a library:

The Type of Document That Can Be Operated Using the Module Supplied with Desktop

The type of documents that can be operated (edited/printed) with the module provided with Desktop varies depending on the module.

*1: In order to operate a document with the module provided with Desktop, you need to have a printing application installed on your computer.
*2: You cannot print files such as movie files and program execution files.
Note
Documents other than "*.jpg/*.jpeg", "*.bmp" and "*.tif/*.tiff" files can be operated as image documents, according to the codecs installed in the operating system.
If a document other than a binder document is used in Document Binder, the document is converted into a binder document.
If other documents are used in Document Binder or Quick Printing Tool, the [Print] dialog box of the application associated with the document, or the [Printing] dialog box may be displayed. In this case, select Desktop Document Writer as the output printer and print.
If you cannot convert other documents into a binder document by using Document Binder or Quick Printing Tool, use Desktop Document Writer.
