You can change the size of the Preview Pane by dragging the left corner of the Preview Pane.
Follow one of the steps below to manually refresh the Desktop Browser display.
Click (Refresh) on the address bar.
Select the [View] menu > [Refresh].
Press the [F5] key on the keyboard.
When you select one of the following types of documents, the message <No preview available.> is displayed and the preview is not displayed in the Preview Pane.

If the preview does not work well, you can specify the document not to be previewed. For more information on these settings, see the following.

PDF documents (*.pdf)

When a permission password is configured for PDF documents, they cannot be previewed.
For annotated PDF documents, the annotations are also displayed in the preview.
Documents with a page size exceeding 1200 mm (47 1/4 inch) cannot be displayed in a preview.
With multiple page documents, pages that do not exceed 1200 mm (47 1/4 inch) in size can be displayed by using the thumbnail view.

Image documents (*.jpg/*.jpeg, *.bmp, *.tif/*.tiff)
|
Image documents other than "*.jpg/*.jpeg", "*.bmp" and "*.tif/*.tiff" can be displayed according to the codec installed on OS.

Binder documents (*.iwb)
|
The preview uses the current print settings.
In an annotated binder document, the annotations are also displayed.

XPS documents (*.xps)
|
All XPS documents can be previewed.

Office documents (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint documents)
|
When the [Enable preview feature for [Explorer]] check box is not selected in [System Settings], if large icon thumbnails exist for those files, those thumbnails are displayed as the preview.
[Settings] > [System Settings] > [Browser] > [Display Settings] > [Enable preview feature for [Explorer]]
When using Microsoft Office 2003, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint documents cannot be previewed.

Saved message files (.msg)
|
In the following cases, if the [Enable preview feature for [Explorer]] check box is selected in [System Settings], saved message files (.msg) can also be previewed.
If the default mail program is Outlook 2003 or later
If the computer's OS is Windows Vista/Windows 7/Windows 8/Windows 8.1
[Settings] > [System Settings] > [Browser] > [Display Settings] > [Enable preview feature for [Explorer]]
In the following case, if large icon thumbnails exist, those thumbnails are displayed as previews.
When the [Enable preview feature for [Explorer]] check box is not selected in [Settings] > [System Settings] > [Browser] > [Display Settings]
If the extension is .msg and the default mail program is something other than Outlook

Others (*.xdw/*.xbd etc.)

When the OS of your computer supports 32-bit, and DocuWorks or Docuworks Viewer is installed on the computer, you can also preview DocuWorks documents (.xdw) and DocuWorks binders (.xbd).

When multiple documents are selected, the preview is not displayed.
Follow one of the steps below to hide the Preview Pane.
Select the [View] menu > [Layout] > [Preview Pane]
Click (Show/Hide Preview Pane) on the Toolbar
Drag the left boundary of the Preview Pane until it is minimized
Buttons in the Preview Pane are displayed only when you preview PDF documents, binder documents, image documents, or XPS documents.
If buttons are not displayed on the Desktop Browser Toolbar, set the buttons on the Toolbar. For more information, see the following.
Slide the scroll bar to move between pages. Or, follow one of the steps below.
Rotate the mouse wheel in the Preview Pane to move to the previous page or next page
Press the [↑] key/[↓] key or [Page Up] key/[Page Down] key on the keyboard to move to the previous page or next page
Press the [Home] key while holding down the [Ctrl] key on the keyboard to move to the first page
Press the [End] key while holding down the [Ctrl] key on the keyboard to move to the last page
You can also change the magnification factor by 10% by rolling the mouse wheel while pressing the [Ctrl] key on the keyboard while the focus is in the Preview Pane. Rolling the mouse wheel forward and backward zooms in and out, respectively.
For documents with both a height and width less than or equal to 482.6 mm (19 inches), you can change the magnification factor within the range 5% to 200%.
For PDF documents and binder documents that include a page with a height or width that exceeds 482.6 mm (19 inches), the maximum magnification factor is less than 200%.
