Using Templates

A template is a model of print settings including the layout setting for the entire document, print setting, and paper source setting. With Document Binder, you can easily configure the print settings by specifying a template to a binder document.
Templates are automatically registered during installation. Additionally, you can newly register or import them.

You can specify a template for a printer output icon of Desktop Browser in advance and use it when printing. For more information on specifying templates, see the following.
Other than the above, you can apply another template to the binder document that is being edited in the Document Binder screen.
If <The specified template includes print settings that cannot be used with the currently selected printer.
Only settings that can be used will be applied to the template for use. Is this OK?> is displayed:
Click [Yes].
Binder documents with only applicable settings applied are shown in the Document Binder screen. The available setting information can be maintained by changing the printer. Settings are applied after the printer is actually changed.
Click [No].
Templates are not applied.
Note
The color mode cannot be selected when the print settings that cannot be used for the currently selected printer are checked.
