Inserting Masks

With Annotation Editor, you can insert masks (frameless filled rectangles/ovals) as annotations in PDF documents and binder documents.
Also see the following as necessary.
1.
Click on the right side of (Mask) in the Object Palette Pane.
Or, select the [Annotations] menu > [Mask].
The submenu or the pull-down menu is displayed.
Note
When you click (Mask), the shape of the last mask used can be selected.
If you want to use multiple masks with the same shape as the last mask used, double-click (Mask). When you double-click (Mask), it is locked while being selected and masks can be inserted multiple times.
To deselect the selected lines, perform the following.
Press other buttons in the Object Palette Pane
[Esc] key on the keyboard
You can click on the Toolbar to continuously insert annotations. For more information, see the following.

Select the shape of the mask.
The properties of the mask are displayed in the Object Palette Pane.
Note
You can select the following mask shapes.
[Rectangle]
[Oval]

Configure the properties of the mask.
[Fill]
Select the color you want to use to fill from the list displayed when you click . When you want to use a color that is not available in the list, click [More Colors].
[More Colors]
If you click this, the [Color] dialog box is displayed. Using the [Color] dialog box, you can set a color that is not listed in [Fill].
4.
Move the mouse pointer to the Work Pane.
The shape of the mouse pointer changes to .
Note
To cancel insertion and return the mouse pointer to the original shape, perform the following operation.
Click (Select Object) on the Object Palette Pane
Press the [Esc] key on the keyboard

Drag the mouse pointer from the starting vertex to the ending vertex of the rectangle or oval.
Note
You can insert a square or circular mask by dragging the mouse pointer while holding down the [Shift] key on the keyboard.
6.
Click on the work pane outside the mask you inserted to deselect the mask.
