Resizing Annotations

You can change the size of annotation and other settings by selecting them in the Annotation Editor screen.

Changing the Length/Orientation of Lines

1.
Click (Select Object) on the Object Palette Pane.
Or click (Select Text) on the object palette pane.
2.
Move the mouse pointer to a desired line to change in the Work Pane and click the mouse when the shape of the mouse pointer changes to .
Or, drag the mouse pointer selection rectangle to include the line to change.
Note
You can press the [Tab] key on the keyboard successively to make a desired line selected.
3.
Move the mouse pointer to one of the handles ( or ) displayed at both ends of the line.
The shape of the mouse pointer changes to "+."
Note
Changing the length or orientation can be performed on a single line. When multiple lines are selected, the operation is performed on the line on which the mouse pointer is placed.
4.
Drag the handle to a desired position to change the length of the line.
Note
By dragging the mouse pointer while holding down the [Shift] key on the keyboard, you can change the line length without changing its direction.
To cancel the process of changing the length and direction, press the [Esc] key on the keyboard during the drag operation.
5.
Click on the work pane outside the line you edited to deselect the line.

Resizing Annotations

1.
Click (Select Object) on the Object Palette Pane.
Or click (Select Text) on the object palette pane.
2.
Move the mouse pointer to a desired annotation to change the size in the Work Pane and click the mouse when the shape of the mouse pointer changes to .
Drag the mouse pointer selection rectangle to include the desired annotation to change the size.
Note
Resizing can be performed on a single annotation. When multiple annotations are selected, the operation is only performed on the annotation displayed foremost among the selected annotations.
You can press the [Tab] key on the keyboard successively to make a desired annotation selected.
3.
Move the mouse pointer to the displayed handle (.)
The shape of the mouse pointer changes to , , or .
4.
Drag the handle to a desired position to change the length of the line.
Note
When you perform the following operations with the handle, the size of the annotation is enlarged/reduced while the aspect ratio is maintained.
Annotations other than images and bitmap stamps: Dragging while holding the [Shift] key on the keyboard
Images and bitmap stamps: Dragging the square handle
When the horizontal size of the text whose size have been changed is larger than that of the entered information in the text, the following occurs.
Horizontal size: Reduced according to the entered content
Vertical size: Enlarged/reduced according to the number of lines after automatic line breaks are entered according to the vertical size after change
To cancel the size changing process, press the [Esc] key on the keyboard during the drag operation.
5.
Click on the work pane outside the resized annotation to deselect the resized annotation.
Note
If you perform the following operations, part of the annotation will protrude outside the area of the page.
If a displayed annotation is divided when a page is divided in Document Binder
When an annotation larger than the area of the page is pasted in Annotation Editor
The areas of annotations protruding outside the area of the page are not displayed. When you change the size of such an annotation, the hidden part may become displayed in the page area.
