Enables you to register the current settings as a profile. You can set the name etc. in the [Add Profile] Dialog Box.
Adding Profiles
[Edit]
Enables you to edit, import, and export profiles in the [Edit Profile] Dialog Box.
Editing the Profile List
[Output Method]
Enables you to select the method for outputting print data.
[Print]
Performs normal printing.
[Hold]
Saves print data temporarily in a hold queue in the printer. This function is useful when you want to perform proof printing. You can set a data name in the [Hold Details] Dialog Box by clicking [Details].
Suspending Printing
[Secured Print]
Attaches a PIN (password) to the print data and stores it in the printer. This function is useful when printing confidential documents etc. You can set the user name and PIN or password by clicking [Details].
Secured Printing
[Store]
Stores the print data in a box in the printer. You can set the storage destination by clicking [Details] ([Store Details] Dialog Box).
Saving Print Data
[Promote Print]
Prints the print job before other print jobs after the current print job is finished.
[Edit and Preview]
Combines multiple files into one when printing. You can also view a print preview and change the print settings. Clicking [Details] enables you to set the output method after Edit and Preview. If you select [Lock], [Output Method] is locked in [Edit and Preview] mode. This function is useful for restricting the output methods of clients in a shared printer environment.
Combining Multiple Files
[Lock] can only be set when the printer driver screen is displayed from the Start menu (see Changing the Default Settings).
[Color Mode]
Enables you to switch between color printing and grayscale (black and white) printing. Selecting [Auto [Color/B&W]] enables the printer to automatically detect whether each page should be printed in color or grayscale.
Switching Between Color and Grayscale
[RGB Matching Mode]
Enables you to set the color matching mode for RGB input.
[ICC Profile]
Processing that uses an ICC profile for RGB data.
[Device Link Profile]
Processing that uses a device link profile, which is a combination of ambient light and color space profiles. You can select the optimum setting from [RGB Input [Light + Color Space]].
Functions that cannot be used with this function ([Device Link Profile]):
[Color] tab → [RGB Source Profile]
[Color] tab → [RGB Matching Method]
[Color] tab → [RGB Pure Black Process]
[RGB Source Profile]
Enables you to select the RGB profile applied to your monitor when printing RGB data.
[Printer Default]
Uses the printer setting.
[sRGB v3.0 (Canon)]/[sRGB v1.31 (Canon)]
Sets the industry standard definition for standard Windows (computer) monitors. If you are using an sRGB compatible monitor, you can use this setting to print colors that are close to the colors shown on your monitor.
[Canon HDTV gamma 1.5 Monitor], [Canon HDTV gamma 1.8 Monitor], and [Canon HDTV gamma 2.4 Monitor]
You can select the gamma correction level for RGB data. The higher the value, the darker the print result.
[<Download Profile>]
Specifies a profile downloaded to the printer.
[None]
Performs a color analysis from RGB data to CMYK without applying a profile.
When you specify an original profile, download it to the printer using the imageWARE Enterprise Management Console Resource Management plug-in.
[RGB Matching Method]
Enables you to select a color rendering dictionary (CRD) to be used when you print RGB images, objects, and text.
[Printer Default]
Uses the printer setting.
[Saturation]
Optimizes the output of pure, saturated colors and produces clear outlines for text.
[Perceptual [Monitor Color Matched]]/[Perceptual]
Optimizes the range of colors on the printer to produce the best result for bitmapped images. Printed colors will match the appearance of colors on the computer monitor.
[Perceptual [Photographic]]/[General]
Optimizes the range of colors on the printer to produce the best result for photographic images.
[Colorimetric]
Provides a close match when rendering RGB colors into CMYK colors, regardless of the media being used.
[Vivid Photo]
Provides stronger and deeper colors than [Perceptual [Photographic]].
To set this function, set [Color] tab - [100% GCR Profile] to a setting other than [Printer Default].
If you set [Color] tab - [Output Profile] to a setting other than [Standard], [Perceptual [Photographic]] becomes the same color shade as [Perceptual [Monitor Color Matched]], and [Vivid Photo] becomes the same color shade as [Saturation].
[RGB Pure Black Process]
Prints black and gray data with the equivalent ratio of R to G to B using black (K) toner only. If you do not select this option, the CMYK toners are used, with the settings selected for [Output Profile] are applied.
[RGB Input [Light + Color Space]]
Enables you to set the ambient light color temperature and monitor color space used for a device link profile. Select one of the following combinations.
[D50 + sRGB]
[D65 + sRGB]
[D50 + AdobeRGB]
[D65 + AdobeRGB]
[CMYK Matching Mode]
Enables you to set the color matching mode for CMYK input.
[ICC Profile]
Processing that uses an ICC profile for CMYK data.
[Device Link Profile]
Processing that uses a device link profile, which is a combination of ambient light and color space profiles.
Functions that cannot be used with this function:
[Color] tab → [CMYK Simulation Profile]
[Color] tab → [CMYK Pure Black Process]
[CMYK Simulation Profile]
